It is times like those that we remember exactly how lucky we are. It’s important to visit everything a country has…the good and the bad, especially when the bad is so recent as it colors everything about being there. It’s supposed to be hard…so that we don’t forget.

Thank you for sharing your story. I read this & immediately showed it to my husband, who is also a recovering drug addict. I agree with Gillian that more people need to hear stories like this so they can have a better understanding of what really goes on. I’m glad to hear that everything worked out in the end & that your journey made your family whole again.

Lisa, I’m so proud of you for sharing your story. Watching you, and your family, on this journey has been heart wrenching and heart warming all at the same time.

More people need to hear your story. To hear how thinking outside the box can help. To hear how a family can come together and heal itself. To hear how, sometimes, it takes drastic measures.

Courage: the ability to see what needs to be done and do it, despite conventional wisdom, despite advise to the contrary, despite not knowing how it will end.

Courage: Lisa, Dwayne, Luc and Nicole. For being brave enough, and strong enough, to see it through and come out on top.
